Want something free to do with your family? Friday August 13th we will

be watching Kung fu Panda at 9:00 pm in Greenbriar Park.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, their will be concession.

Advisory Council

If you want to get more involved at Greenbriar Community Center,

come join our advisory council. We have a meeting the second

Monday of every month at 7:00 pm. It is a great chance

to meet other people in the community and give opinions to staff

on programs offerings and special events. It is also a great

way to volunteer and stay up to date.

Edward the Drum Guy

Edward the Drum Guy came by the center a couple weeks back to teach
the campers about cultural drums and rhythmic music. Greenbriar had
a lot of fun while he was here. Here are some pictures below.

Greenbriar learns about Recycling

Ricky Cotto from the Community Relations office came by Greenbriar
last week to let the kids know how to care for the environment.

Rollerland West field trip

Kids went to Rollerland West on a field trip and we wanted to post
a couple pictures. Kids had a lot of fun and everyone came back
with all their fingers and toes so we can't ask for much more than that!

Critterman comes to Greenbriar!

David Kleven aka "Critterman" came out to Greenbriar on Thursday
to show the campers some of his friends and the very important
role they play on this earth. Critterman brought a legless lizard,
hissing cockroach, king snake, American alligator, python and more.

Field trip to the Omni and Museum

Well the campers at Greenbriar went to the new and improved
Omni Theatre and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History!

The group had a blast, they got to see the movie Sharks and
go through all the new exhibits the that the museum has been
working on over the past couple of years. As you can see in the
pictures it is a must see location. Go check them out!

Week 2 - at Summer Day Camp

Week 2 is in the books!

We practiced fishing, made fishing crafts

and then on Friday we went out and fished







We even caught a few

Father's day fishing tournament is going on NOW!

The BASS Osprey Fishing Club is at it again, if you can read this post and it is before noon on Saturday, come by Greenbriar Park for free fishing, food and fun. 1st 200 kids that register also receive a free fishing rod.
